Please note that online registration is now closed for Day on the Ride, but we still have spots open. If you would like to join us and have not yet purchased a ticket, please come to Sports Basement Presidio on Saturday April 24th. Check-in will begin at 5:30 am and all participants must be present by 6:30 am. If you are purchasing a ticket the morning of Day of the Ride, please allow yourself enough time to complete the registration form and check-in by 6:30 am.
We've planned for a fast and efficient Check-In in the morning. For those of you driving in, limited parking is available at Sports Basement. The address is 610 Old Mason St. in the Presidio - click here for a map. We'll have healthy and tasty snacks, including bagels, fruit, pastries and Clif Bars, along with POWERade and water for that early morning pick me up. Ride-out is at 7:00 am. Check-in will begin at 5:30 am. All cyclists must be present at 6:30 am for announcements and a mandatory safety speech. Our Donor Services Office will also be on hand to accept your donations.
After you complete the ride (the route closes at 5:00p.m.), join us for a delicious spaghetti dinner to celebrate your accomplishment. Secured bike parking will be provided. Our fabulous Massage Team will also be on hand to soothe those tired muscles!
It is our hope that the Day On The Ride provides everyone with an opportunity to get out on our bikes together and experience the scope and positive impact of AIDS/LifeCycle. How we care for one another as a community through mutual support is the most important part of our collective success. Make each pedal stroke you accomplish a success and please remember what got you to this point: your desire to accomplish something you might not have done before, your compassion, and your dedication to help end the human suffering caused by HIV and AIDS.
Special thanks to Herb Alston of Coldwell Banker and Peter Athanas of Kilowatt Bar for helping underwrite this event!
Please feel free to contact us with any questions about Day On The Ride. We're looking forward to seeing you there!
