I'm Riding to End AIDS

Last year was my first year participating in AIDS/LifeCycle. It was, by far, one of the most significant experiences that I have had in my life. Never have I felt so challenged, welcomed, empowered, and connected to a community than when I rode from San Francisco to Los Angeles. I signed up to participate again this year on Day 5 during the ride, and I'm sure I'll sign up again during this year's ride.

For those of you that know me, this is a very passionate issue. It's a great form of activism that is both physically and emotionally challenging. Last year I raised about half the necessary $3000 minimum through great friends and my students fundraising with me. This year I'm hoping people are feeling more generous! Consider how our tough economy affects those who most benefit from the services the LA Gay/Lesbian Center offers; your support is greatly needed!

From June 3-9, 2012, I'm bicycling in AIDS/LifeCycle. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.

Help me support AIDS/LifeCycle by giving what you can. We'll keep riding until AIDS and HIV are a thing of the past.

Thanks!
