136 percent of goal achieved.

Goal: $7,000.00
Achieved: $9,550.00

Although I do cycle, I have only supported riders who have embarked on this grueling but rewarding ride for such a great cause.  When asked why I don't do the ride my answer has always been, "I am too selfish with my time".  Interesting enough, the truth is that it was easier for me to donate than to make a commitment to ride, and more importantly to fundraise for this cause.  It really had nothing to do with "time".  So I have now made the commitment and I am VERY excited to train, prepare, and fundraise for the AIDS/Lifecycle event.

As you think about supporting me remember, HIV can affect anyone - friends, family and loved ones.  It has no boundaries. It knows no age, no gender and no sexual orientation. It does not care.  It is something that must be STOPPED.  Will you please help?  Give what you can, every dime counts.  Or, if you cannot give monetarily then your encouragement will be support enough!

The ride is from June 3-9, 7 days, 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles.  And I promise - it will make the world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.  We will keep riding until AIDS and HIV are a thing of the past!

Thank you for supporting me!

Training Update
Well I have to say, I am overwhelmed by the generosity and caring spirit so many of you have exhibited. The encouragement alone is priceless and I thank those that have supported me already either by donations or encouraging words. It is all needed and I can't thank you enough. In case there are those that want to donate and have not yet done so, there is still time. I may be close to my goal but keep the donations coming. We will never stop fighting to end this disease that impacts all of us.
As far as my training, I have been riding almost every weekend and have done roughly 500 training miles so far. Today I left the house at 8AM and arrived home, beaten and wind whipped at 4PM. Because of your support I am committed to being ready to ride on June 3rd! I have also signed up for the Napa Century Ride in May so I can see what it feels like to ride 100 miles in one day. Wish me luck...
And please do not forget that the AIDS/LifeCycle is the only AIDS fundraising bicycle event in California organized by the non-profit agencies that will benefit from the money raised by its participants. Their sole concern is providing critical services to people living with HIV and AIDS. Your support and commitment to this event is pivotal to their success. Your donations will allow these agencies to continue their commitment to such an important cause.
