In June 2014, I will participate in my FIFTH AIDS LifeCycle, a 545+ mile ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to support the HIV/AIDS treatment and prevention services of the LA Gay and Lesbian Center's Jeffrey Goodman Special Care Clinic. This year, in response to the growing demand for HIV/AIDS services, I committed to raise $10,000. Those of you who have supported my efforts over the first four rides know that the ride, not to mention the months of rigorous training that I will undergo, is a physically and emotionally demanding experience for me and the whole AIDS LifeCycle community.
That's why I need your help. I'll take care of the hard part-the cycling, but depend upon your support to get me through this and to make sure that my efforts are able to make a difference for men and women living with HIV and AIDS.
Please join me TODAY by making a tax-deductible contribution to honor my efforts on this ride, but more importantly to support the 2,100 men and women who receive medical care from the LA Gay and Lesbian Center and 1,600 who receive mental health services each year, as well as the 800-1,000 men and women who access the Center’s HIV testing and prevention services every single month.
I was unable to join the ride the last two years, so I plan to come on strong for AIDS LifeCycle 13. If you are a past supporter, I hope you will join me in picking up where we left off. If this is your first time contributing, welcome and thank you so very much for your support and contributions in honor of my efforts in the months to come!

PS - Please help spread the word. Each year, I raise a good amount from friends, family, and colleagues of friends who hear about my efforts because someone forwarded them an email I sent or gave them my website (www.danmaxey.com) with a short note asking for their support. Also, please inquire at work about matching contributions. Many employers will match all or part of your sponsorship, increasing the impact we can make together. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! Did I mention your contributions are TAX DEDUCTIBLE?!
