We're on our way
It takes courage to be who you truly are. In a world that is filled with mass media teaching us otherwise.
Which is why The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center and The San Francisco AIDS Foundation are so essential to the Gay & Lesbian community providing a place where they are understood and supported.
A place of education and prevention without the obstacles of judgment or financial difficulties. Kindness during times of struggle and a place to feel like they belong when they'd otherwise feel lost or alone.
My minimum fundraising requirement to participate in the AIDS/LifeCycle is $3000 however I have committed to $5000 so that from June 1-7, 2014, I can cycle in AIDS/LifeCycle.
It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with AIDS/HIV.
I will ride for Kindness. I will ride to inspire and spread awareness. I will ride to support those who suffer in silence. I will ride to show those who have been directly affected by AIDS/HIV that they matter and they are not alone. And I will ride to show my commitment to my goal of raising $5000 in order to help these organizations sustain their commitment to our friends and family.
I hope you can help me meet my goal. Any amount is humbly appreciated. There is even an option of making small monthly payments as low at $10 per month for a maximum of 10 months so that you can contribute a $100 today! Way cool!
It’s the dash between your born date and the date of death that truly counts! That dash is cut short for some of us. What matters most in MY dash is that I spent my time making a difference in other people's. I am committed to pursuing moments that may seem terrifying but are absolutely amazing and I hope you'll join me. Your support means a great deal to me but also to those who benefit directly from the services that will be possible because of you!
