I'm riding to end HIV/AIDS and to change the stigma behind it!

I've been thinking about participating in the AIDS/LifeCycle for a couple years now, so I decided to make 2010 the year that I actually did something about it.  Mid-January, I bought my bike, bike-shorts (wow! they're tight), shoes, helmet, gloves, jersey etc.  Now that I look good, what's next.....Oh! I need to learn how to ride...its funny how we plan things backwards...Whatever you do, look good doing it! That's my motto.... So, I have about 5 months to train for the 7-day, 545-mile journey on June 6th from San Francisco to Los Angeles.  I'm counting on my journey changing my life, the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS, and not to mention my legs and my ass!!
 
I've always prided myself on conquering my challenges with my own sweat and tears, but this challenge is a bit harder, so I need your help.  HIV/AIDS affect so many lives in one-way or another.  We all may have a brother, sister, friend, loved one or even a neighbor living with HIV/AIDS and don't even know it.  There's a stigma attached with this disease that shouldn't be there.  People living (and yes people ARE living with HIV/AIDS) are no different than anyone else living with other chronic diseases.  So we all need your help in finding a cure for this disease or at least changing the stigma attached to it.  I've decided to do my part in riding so I hope you can do your part by sponsoring/supporting me in the AIDS Ride this year.  Thank You so much!!!  Oh, And please don't jealous of my extremely dark farmer tan when I ride across the finish line...
