I'm Riding to End AIDS

From May 31-June 6, 2009, I'm cycling in AIDS/LifeCycle 8. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.

This event is designed to raise money and awareness until we find a cure. On Sunday, May 31, 2009, more than 3000 people of all ages and backgrounds will embark upon an incredible journey from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Your support enables research and programs to help prevent new HIV infections.

Why get involved in such a challenge? Because AIDS is totally preventable. I am involved because my efforts do count, your support does matter, and the money that we raise together will help those living with HIV/AIDS and the suffering it causes.

I believe ordinary people can make a difference. We all have the opportunity to make this world a safer place.This is a team effort. We need you. We could not do this without you. No matter how big or small, your actions do count.

In a random drawing on May 15th, 2009, 2 donors will win one of two pieces of my artwork. The first was submitted to the Women's International Peace Conference and the second was submitted to the Democratic Convention nominating Obama.
