From June 6th - 12th, I'll once again be cycling a major portion of our beautiful state -- 550 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles (...yes, this is my 4th year). And there has never been a greater need for your support as federal, state and local programs have significantly cut back HIV/AIDS-related programs: research, support services, healthcare, and education. I'm particularly struck by the continued incidence of newly infected youth nationwide, which simply gets down to funding for education and prevention. It is estimated 56k Americans, 7k Californians, will be infected with HIV this year alone.

We are all impacted directly or indirectly by the epidemic. So my commitment to participate in the ride and the long hours of training are so worthwhile ... to help make a difference in the lives of people living with HIV/AIDS and to help prevent new cases through education.
