Closing Ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM. All the Cyclists will be in before then (we make sure of it!).

Cyclists will line up and ride into the ceremonies together, where they will be joined by the Roadies. The celebration should last about an hour, after which you will pick up your gear bag, ship your bike if need be, and head home to celebrate and rest! Please refer to the Closing Ceremonies Map in the ALC Packet for more details.

For Friends and Family

Friends and family are encouraged to join us for Closing Ceremonies to celebrate the end of the AIDS/LifeCycle 9 journey. They are also welcome to arrive early and cheer in cyclists as they come in to the VA Center grounds from the route. 

Spectator Parking, for family and friends who will come to cheer you in, will be available in Lot #6 and will cost $10 per vehicle. Please note that this lot is about a 10 minute walk from the Closing Ceremonies location.

The first and fastest cyclists will begin arriving at the VA Center at around 9 AM, while the majority can be expected to arrive between 11 AM and 3 PM. If you're planning on cheering in a cyclist, talk to them beforehand to get an idea of how fast they ride and when they expect to arrive at Closing Ceremonies.

Pets and alcohol are not allowed at the VA Center. Please leave your pets at home, and save that celebratory drink for after Closing Ceremonies is over.
