I'm Riding to End AIDS

I wish to thank you for your support.  I appreciate the genorosity and many will benefit from your kindness.  I promised to keep you informed of my progress as I train. 

From June 6-12, 2010, I'm bicycling in AIDS/LifeCycle. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.

I am very busy preparing for this adventure.  In spite of the cooler weather and darker days I am building my weekly mileage to be prepared.  I have a forty mile ride this Saturday.  Weight training and improved nutrition will also help.

I got off to a bad start back in September as I crashed pretty bad on my mountain bike.  I was pretty banged up - my dentist did a fantastic job in taking care of three broken teeth.  The wounds have healed and I won't make the mistake of taking my eyes off the road again.

The AIDS/LifeCycle organization has been fantastic in providing seminars, workshops and training rides.  There is a very strong sense of family.  I believe this a life changing experience to be associated with such a fine, supportive
