I'm Riding to End AIDS
From June 6-12, 2010, I'm bicycling in AIDS/LifeCycle. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS. On any given day, thousands of youth live on the streets in Los Angeles, and an estimated 40% of those youth are gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender. The L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center offers everything they need to get off the streets and make a better life for themselves: from food, clothing and housing to counseling and job placement services. Help me support the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center by giving what you can. We'll keep riding until AIDS and HIV are a thing of the past AIDS LifeCycle is the only AIDS fundraising bicycle event in California organized by the non-profit agencies that will benefit from the money raised by its participants. My sole concern is providing critical services to people living with HIV and AIDS. Your support and commitment to this event is vital to our success. Your participation and generosity is what makes this all very possible. Please help me help the Center. THANKS - Cesar Castillo
The staff and volunteers of the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center's Mental Health Services Department specialize in affordable psychotherapy for the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community. They offer counseling in a safe and welcoming environment for people of all cultures, ethnicities and sexual orientations. Counselors include masters and doctoral-level staff (both licensed and license-eligible) and pre- and post-graduate masters and doctoral-level interns. Psychiatric consultations may be available, based on a referral by one of our staff counselors.
Every dollar makes a difference to the thousands of people who benefit from the Center's wide array of free or low cost programs to build the health, strength and well-being of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. The Center is here for our entire community - whether you're one of the 18,000 people who benefit from our direct services each month or one of the millions who benefit from our civil rights and advocacy work. Thank you, in advance, for your meaningful generosity.
