SheSpoke is a group of amazing individuals that are joining AIDS/LifeCycle for the Sixth year in a row!
Our team was started five years ago due to a need of a female friendly space on the ride. It was a space for friends and those who didn't know anyone else on the ride to come together and have a safe space for learning, training, sharing, and just being. Over five years later, and we're back again. Last year it became very important for us to describe the type of members on our team: we're non cis men. We're women, trans, and gender non conforming folx. Some of us are lesbians, some of us are straight, some of us are bisexual, some of us don't like to be labeled. We want this team to be able a safe environment both before the ride happens and during the week of ALC. We welcome you to join us! If you don't know anyone on our team but would like to join, please do! One of our captains will reach out with more information on how to be in touch with our team for training, fundraising, and team-building.
We're continuing to encourage women, trans, gender non-conforming, and poc folks to join us for the event and the FIGHT to END HIV/AIDS. We're a supportive team working together to create a community of forward-thinking individuals. We ride for our brothers and sisters, our fathers and mothers, our children, our extended family, our friends, our coworkers, our fellow riders. We ride for those who cannot and those who never had the chance.
WE RIDE UNTIL AIDS ENDS.
