My TENTH Journey from SF to LA. I ride so that others can get the treatment and care they need
June 2-8th I am riding in Aids/lifecycle 2019, my TENTH consecutive ride. If you know me even a little bit you know I have a thing for Cycling from SF to LA every year, but you might not know why I ride every year. In May of 2009 I came into contact with HIV. Through the services of a local clinic funded by The San Francisco AIDS Foundation I tested negative at the end of my treatment. During treatment I vowed to buy a bike and do the ride. My thinking was that I could raise more money than I could ever donate and that has turned out to be true. To date with your help we have fundraised over $80,000! And there is so much more to be done.
The SFAF provides so many services, including mental health services, pre and post exposure prophylaxis, addiction treatment, medicine and services to improve and uplift marginalized communities. The foundation is a force for good at a time when we need it most. Please help me support them.
Click the "Donate Now" button on this page and give as generously as you can. No donation is too small. (You can also split your total donation up over 2-10 months, so a donation of $100 can actually be divded as $10 per month-- although I will get credit for the full amount immediately)
Please ask your employer if corporate matching is available
If you need any help processing a corporate match I'm happy to help. In 2015 Corporate Matching accounted for $3,000 of my donations which was nearly a quarter of my total fundraising that year and is the minimum requirement to do the ride.
Thank you so much for your time, energy and support all these years!
