In 2018 I got back on my bike after a six-year hiatus and rode once again from San Francisco to Los Angeles. It was exhausting, exhilarating, rewarding, fulfilling, and sometimes overwhelming, but I made it. Together, we raised an incredible $16.6 million to fund the critical, life-saving services provided by the LA LGBT Center and the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. From a personal standpoint, it provided a much-needed respite from the nonstop barrage of bad, bizarre, and enraging news that now seems to define our society, and restored a little bit of my faith in the essential goodness in humanity.
As soon as I got off my bike, I knew, I had to do it again. So, once again, I'm asking for your help. And this time, I want you to ride with me. If you have any interest in doing this, if you've ever thought "I should do that someday," make 2019 the year. Let's do this together.

San Diego in a Day!
On July 28 I rode my bike 138 miles from Los Angeles to San Diego. It was a bit grueling at times but it's a beautiful ride and one I will definitely do again. I'm looking forward to taking my training to the next level for ALC 2019, which I intend to CRUSH :)
