Dear Friend.... Here We Go Again! Embarking Together To Make A Difference!
From June 4th - June 10th, 2017, over 3,000 Cyclists and Roadies will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services provided by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
In 2017 — as we experience the transition of power to the cruel intentions and policies of President Trump — the life-saving work done by the LA LGBT Center & SFAF will be more crucial than ever!
I believe greatly in the important work done by both of these organizations because of the real world difference they make in the lives of those most in need. These foundations extend their reach beyond international boundaries, lending a helping hand to the entire global LGBT community.
The first year that I rode, in 2008, I was unsure about my reasons for riding — I was seeking something spiritual... a way to help both myself and others. In the years that have followed, I have become a part of this community... the depth of my involvement and passion has grown exponentially. I can't imagine the last 10 years of my life with ALC. And now I'm ready to head down the California coast for the 9th time!
Last year, I decided to take a year off and regroup. And this year, I'm back on the bike!
Could you help me support AIDS/LifeCycle by giving whatever you can? No donation is too large or too small. Perhaps one day, the services of SFAF and the LA LGBT Center will be there to help you, directly or indirectly!
We'll all keep riding until HIV & AIDS, anti-LGBT discrimination, and racial & economic inequality, are a thing of the past.
Will you please support me by making a donation today?
