I'm riding to end AIDS!
In June, I'll be joining thousand of cyclists and roadies on a 7-day journey from San Francisco to Los Angeles. We are riding to raise money needed to provide vital support to people living with HIV/AIDS, essential testing services so people can know their status, and educational efforts to someday bring an end to HIV/AIDS. Last year I was part of the team that helped raise $16.7 MILLION dollars! Let's see if we can beat that this year!
And our efforts are working! There has been a 51% reduction in San Francisco HIV infections in the last five years! We are working to get to zero, and with your help we will!
I hope you’ll support me in this effort. I’m riding for the friends I’ve lost to AIDS, the friends and family living with HIV/AIDS, and for the next generation so that they don’t have to lose a loved one to this devastating disease.
A 545-mile bike ride is a mental and physical challenge, and a crazy amount of effort! Last year was tough, and I didn't get to ride every mile, but with the great team I’m on, and the love and support of all of you, I know I’ll make it and ride Every F*$%ing Mile (EFM). And we’ll be one step closer to ending AIDS.
