Today starts my journey on my fourth AIDS Lifecycle, by now, you've all known someone that has done the ride, or at least know about the ride. So you all know how important it is, what the money raised is for, who it helps, and how much it’s still needed...So I won't repeat the same thing you've probably heard more than once from someone who has done or who will be doing the ride, in their fundraising plea for support.
As I've committed my own personal time to this ride... to make sure that all the money raised, is going directly to the organizations and client programs that need it most...
Once I do this....will it be as easy as riding a bicycle? Will I never forget how to do this? I certainly hope not.
It's easy to forget when things are going well, when things are alright in your life, when you're riding your bike on the road of life, and when you aren't hitting potholes in the road, stopping to fix a flat tire, or having to slow down to catch your breath, rest, and get the strength to get back up and keep going. Life will always have potholes, flats, exhaustion and doubts. For so many living with HIV/AIDS who need support with groceries, housing, emotional support, help with the maze of paperwork and forms for benefits, treatment, medications, doctors’ visits etc. etc., they face life with alot of potholes, falls, exhaustion and doubt as to whether they are going to make it at times. I want to make sure that someone is there to give them a hand, and help them up whenever they need it, whenever they fall, are tired, scared, hungry or homeless.
PLEASE HELP ME TO MAKE SURE THAT THEY AREN'T LEFT WITHOUT HOPE OR HELP IF EVER THEY FALL.
HELPING THOSE IN NEED MAY NOT BE SOMETHING WE ALWAYS DO - AND ITS NOT ALWAYS EASY TO GIVE - BUT FOR THOSE THAT DO AND THOSE THAT CAN...ITS AS EASY AS RIDING A BICYCLE....AND YOU'LL NEVER FORGET THE GOOD YOU WILL HAVE DONE. PLEASE DONATE AND HELP ME REACH MY FUNDRAISING GOAL!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
