Dear Family and Friends,
As Aidslifecycle 2018 quickly approaches and i affirm my committment to ride again, Im quickly humbled by those around me that never take a break or a year off. Their tirelessness for the cause is both awe-inspiring and something to strive for. Having taken a year off to "rest" has reminded me that this effort cannot be conquered by "resting". It's also important to note that if my donors and friends are urging me to continue the effort, and they have proven their generosity a thousandfold year after year, then ride i will. However, most important of all are those of you who live with HIV day in and day out, and you never get a chance to rest or take time off from the constant unknowns of this insidious disease. I salute and respect the bravery with which you continue the battle and have the highest hopes that together we will see the end of HIV.
I am dedicating this next Aidslifecycle to 4 shining stars in my life: Sal Zambito, Ruth Papazian, Jim Botsford and Logan Ray. Each of you has inspired and encouraged me to do more and never give up. I have a tendency to be lazy, but each of you have both encouraged and supported my efforts in a way that make me look like the hero, when in fact, it is you and all of my many donors that are the real heros and make this effort the amazing success it is.
Please join me as i recommitt to Aidslifecycle 2018 and remember that any donation however large or small provides vital services to those who need it most. Thanks again for all of your support.
With Love and gratitude,
Mark E. Roberts
