I am excited - and a little nervous - to ride 545 miles to help in our community's efforts to support those surviving HIV/AIDS and to help reduce infections and deaths from HIV/AIDS. We have the potential to make this a reality and to support our brothers and sisters who are surviving this disease. Even though I am HIV Negative, we are ALL impacted by this disease.
There is a lot going on in this world that seems out of our control - but WE can change things and make a difference. WE can take back control and help the people, researchers, and families that need our help.
It would be EXCELLENT if you could donate anything to the cause - $20, $200, or $2,000+! And remember that corporate MATCH!
No donation is too small, BUT you will have the option to split up your contribution over as many as 10 months! -- so please consider giving generously!
Please help to support both my participation in the 2019 ALC and the efforts that your contribution will go towards by giving what you can -- to do so, click on the button that says "Donate Now". Your donation will help towards the commitment I have made as a participant of the 7-day long 545-mile ride, to personally raise at least $10,000 to support the San Francisco AIDS Foundation in its mission to prevent new HIV infections and promote the health of all people.
Please join this Rhino in this important endeavor!

To put it in real terms, this is what your donation can do...
$2,500 helps 4 HIV+ people receive safe and stable housing for one month.
$1,000 provides 2 educational forums for 150 HIV+ attendees to learn how to live longer.
$500 helps 15 people receive medical benefits counseling to obtain prescriptions.
$250 purchases Rapid HIV Antibody tests for 10 people.
$175 provides case management for 15 HIV+ clients who are homeless or at-risk to be.
$150 secures 1,000 clean needles to prevent the spread of HIV among IV drug users.
$100 covers travel for an advocacy coordinator to attend the appointments of 25 clients.
$50 buys 715 condoms for distribution and prevention of the spread of HIV.
$25 supports a benefits counselor to assist 1 person in navigating the private and public systems, including Medi-Cal, Medicare, CARE/HIPP, SSDI, and Social Security.
Every $ counts for the people who rely on these services to survive and every $ brings me one step closer to hitting my goal...
June 2nd - June 8th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year, I’ll be one of them!
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today?
