Thank you for your supporting this cause!
This year will mark my 6th time pedaling from San Francisco to Los Angeles for ALC!!
What is ALC?
ALC is a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to benefit the life-saving services provided by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. From June 2-8, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies, Virtual Cyclists, and I will be completing this journey of support.
Why do it Again?
Many of you have supported me in my past 5 ALCs; for that I thank you!
ALC supports two excellent non-profit organizations which benefit the San Francisco and Los Angeles areas. To view it solely this way, however, misses the reason so many participate in it as a rider, volunteer to support it, and come out to cheer on the riders year after year. For many, ALC is about supporting one another and creating a culture of connectedness and inclusion. On ALC we put aside differences to recognize our common humanity. If someone has a flat, fellow riders will ask if they need help changing their tire. If they fall, others stop to provide aid. If they look lost, someone steps in to provide direction. We cheer one another on in mutual admiration. We become the best version of ourselves, the best version of our community.
How Can You Help?
You can show your support by donating to this ride. Your contribution is fully tax deductible and will benefit these two great organizations. With continued effort we can make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past.
