AIDS Lifecycle III
Once again I'm taking on the challenge of the AIDS Lifecycle, and cycling from San Francisco to Los Angeles in June 2020. That's 545 miles, or 820 kilometres, over seven days! The ride raises funds for two important HIV/AIDS charities who do great work around global research, prevention and treatment/care. Last year we raised an epic $16 million - this year I hope we can do even better!
This cause is close to my heart. Most of you will know I'm a proud PrEPster (highly effective medication to prevent HIV infection), but that technology is high cost and hence only available to the most privileged. In addition to funding work for a cure, these charities fund PrEP access for high risk communities of limited financial means - I think that's very cool.
As always, I'll make a sufficiently large personal donation to cover the realistic organisational/logistics cost of the events, so rather than funding my holiday, your donation is guaranteed to go the named charities. So please, donate today!
