June 2 - June 8th, 2019 will be MY SEVENTH YEAR participating in AIDS Lifecycle. In 2018, my HERO DONORS finished #11 in total fundraising! WOW!
THIS HAS TO BE THE LAST YEAR FOR ME TO PARTICIPATE in AIDS Lifecycle. Last year was going to be my very last year, but due to inuries, I could not ride. However, I wanted to do this ride ONE MORE TIME plus I wanted to bring our SEVEN YEAR TOTAL over $200,000.00. I LOVE my Hero Donors who continue to impress me with their continued generosity. I am only 10 pounds away from my RACING WEIGHT and I have been training reasonably and safely this year. I want to make 2019 my STRONGEST RIDE YET. Look at our totals with unposted matching money:
CURRENT TOTALS with $7,344 unposted match
Seven Year Total = $204,144.00
$20,000 Incentive Goal is in sight!

I donated the first $1000 putting my money where my heart is! Please join me again and we WILL CONTINUE making an incredible difference in the world! Our SUCCESSES fundraising are helping insure there will be a future when HIV disease is a thing of the past and the next generation will be free of this disease!
I ride out of love, so others can live. Let's END AIDS. Together!
MAY 22nd, 2019 will be the 13th anniversary of the death of my former partner, Allen Bodine, who died of AIDS. We were together 21 years! What my Hero Donors and I have done and will do with our fundraising has transformed his tragic death into LIFE for others! The Fullness of my adult life is reflected in how I spend my energies. I hope too that these energies reflect my highest, positive intentional values. My philanthropic efforts through cycling add purpose and meaning to my life beyond my wildest expectations and inspire me to continue in service to humanity.
HELPFUL INFORMATION REGARDING YOUR DONATION
BENEFICIARIES OF DONATIONS
The AIDS Lifecycle bike ride means the world to those who receive education, HIV testing, treatment and support as a result of this event, and your support means the world to me! Last year, AIDS Lifecycle raised over $16 million for the SF AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This ride is a huge endeavor involving several thousand participants to make it successful benefitting programs in San Francisco, Los Angeles, nationally and worldwide. It's great if you give because I asked you or you think it's cool that, as a 67 year old, I will ride my bike from San Francisco to L.A.(545 miles). However, I want you to give because it matters... because this struggle is not over! I need YOU and I am confident you will help! Please click on the DONATE NOW BUTTON and give as generously as you can. Any amount will do no matter how small you think it is! It ALL adds up!
*** DID YOU KNOW, YOU CAN DIVIDE YOUR PAYMENT UP OVER 2 - 10 MONTHS. $10 a month= $100, $50 a month= $500, $100 a month=$1000 (and, we get credit for the full amount right away).
Don't forget corporate matching from your employer. If you need help coordinating any corporate matching, please contact me and I will work with donor services to help you. Last year, employer matching represented $11,531.42 in total donations to my ride. IT IS QUITE A SIGNIFICANT PART of MY FUNDRAISING!
CURRENT POSTED MATCHING = $1,500.00(APPLE)
UNPOSTED MATCHING = $7,344.50 (APPLE, Thermo Fisher Scientific, Google and PayPal)

Like I have done for every ride, I donated the first $1000.00 which covers the administrative costs of the ride per rider so that 100% of YOUR donation will go to services. Total contributed for ALC 2019 = $1039.00
Together we can do ANYTHING!!
