Thank you for joining me in this cause!
June 2nd-June8, 2018, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year, I’ll be one of them!
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
HIV stigma still occurs in our society and countless people are not yet aware of the implications of the disease and too many people are being infected despite an increase in awareness and treatment options. I ride because I can, and I ride because there are still people in need, whether they infected or they are caregivers, loved ones and friends who are in one way or another still grappling with the many issues that arise from having and living with HIV and/or AIDS. I ride because one more infection is one too many, and one more person discriminated against in one too many, one less person without affordable medications and treatment is one too many. I will continue to ride until there is a cure and stigma is eliminated. You see, for me riding is not a choice. I consider it my civic and social responsibility to help end this epidemic. Will you join me in helping others who cannot help themselves? Will you join the thousands of riders, staff, volunteers and Roadies in helping to make the lives of those less fortunate just a bit better? It’s easy! By clicking on the link below you now have that opportunity! You can also read about the history of the event, see how and where your generous donations help others and as a result, people’s lives can and will be saved! In my opinion, there is nothing more gratifying than helping someone who so desperately needs it. So join us in this journey of selflessness and giving!
