Thank you for joining me in this cause!
June 4th - June 10th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year, I’ll be one of them!
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today?
My Personal Web Log
Hello! First of all, THANK YOU again to all of my sponsors! At times, it can be hard to muster the energy to get on the bike day after day to train. (Of course, once I'm going, then it's awesome!) Anyway, because of your support and encouragement, you inspire me to get on the bike and go for a ride. THANK YOU!
So, this week, I have been diligently riding 24 - 45 miles a day. Tomorrow is the day I have scheduled for the big CENTURY! 100 miles of open road. :)
It's been looking pretty cloudy today..... So, please keep your fingers crossed that the weather holds out!

Training, training and more training!
Thank goodness for the California rain this year....AND thankfully, the rain spell has given way to sunshine!
Now that the sun is out, I am riding and building up my mileage. I am a little worried though because the sun has just recently started shining, and so I am very behind schedule for training.
I have only 4 weeks to go!
My plan is to ride 50 miles twice this week and 24 miles 3 times.
Then, next week I will up the mileage with a goal of riding a century the third week of May.
Wish me luck!
THANK YOU AGAIN FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND ENCOURAGEMENT!!

Riding for humanity!
Why am I doing the Aids/Lifecycle Ride? ... Again .... (I rode in 2013, and now I am training to ride again in 2017!)
During these dark, political times, I have decided that in the midst of such uncertainty, the one way I can feel a little bit better is if I personally show up in a bigger way to take a stand for the values I believe in.
Participating in the Aids/Lifecyle Ride is important to me because it is a way for me to take a stand for humanity, kindness and compassion. In all sincerity, I want to help make a positive difference in the lives of others.
Helping to raise money to support the SF Aids Foundation and the LA LGBT Center is vital because:
1. AIDS is NOT over! AIDS is STILL a problem! (In California alone there are 151,000 people living with HIV.)
2. These agencies are vital to helping people with AIDS get access to medical care, emotional support so they can live longer and healthier lives.
3. Prevention services geared towards high-risk populations will ensure that future generations will not experience the same level of loss that we have faced in the last two decades.
The monies I raise will allow those organizations to provide these critical services.
Please join me supporting this important cause and make donation today.
With much gratitude and love, thank you!
