Thank you for joining me in this cause!
Hello Friends & Family!
I’ll be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle for 7 days in June, 2019, ALC is a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to support the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This bike ride means the world to those who receive treatment as a result of this event, and your support means the world to me.
This ride takes 7 days down the coast of California, averaging 80 miles per day. I have committed to regular training rides throughout the year, where I will be riding my bike up and down the hills of Northern California.
I have been involved with this cause now for 6 years. My first year I volunteered as a "roadie" to support the logistics of getting 2500 bike riders to L.A.
2019 will be my fifth year to ride the 550 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles.
I also am riding so that San Francisco will be the first city in the World to end the retransmission of HIV/AIDS, and you can help us achieve that goal. While scientists continue to work for a cure, what we all can do is help solve the problem by supporting the SF AIDS Foundation's efforts to reduce transmissions and provide the necessary treatment and education that is needed to battle this disease.
There are currently 900,000 Americans living with HIV/AIDS,and someone new is infected every 9 1/2 minutes.
Please help me achieve my goal of raising $5000 in donations.
Thank you for any support you can provide! -Tim
