I need your help to make a difference in the fight against AIDS!
This year again I will be participating in a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles, called the AIDS Lifecycle ride. The purpose it to raise money to help eradicate HIV and AIDS.
The best option is to give to Eric, that way, we can get a matching donation from Google, which is (obviously) a LOT better (exactly, twice as good). To use that option, donate here: https://www.paypal.me/emchristiansen. Otherwise, you can also donate directly to my ALC account here.
The funds that are collected go to the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center, who act on two fronts:
1) Reduce new HIV infections, through:
b) Health services including testing (in San Francisco: 10,000 HIV tests at five locations and an HIV testing van delivering services), treatment (as prevention), syringe access (more than 2.4 million free sterile syringes annually to injection drug users to stop the spread of HIV and hepatitis C),
c) Support services such as free case management and peer advocacy services, housing assistance, and financial benefits.
2) Ensure access to proper care for all HIV-positive people, through advocacy (targeting Medicaid expansion and implementation of the Affordable Care Act), and expanding health services.

Thanks for your generosity, it's paying off! You're making a huge difference in the life of people that can really use the change!
