On December 21st, 2016, I marked my one year anniversary of finding out my own HIV positive status by "coming out" and writing my story, which if you would like to read, you can find here: https://medium.com/@nfd/https-medium-com-ten-lessons-ive-learned-during-my-first-year-living-with-hiv-712b973b7ff0
That same day, I ALSO signed up for AIDS/Life Cycle, the 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation. I was probably in the best position possible to tackle this virus and yet it still proved to be quite the challenging year. It is precisely for that reason I ride. Not everyone is as fortunate as I am and there are countless individuals that need the life-saving services offered by this amazing organization.
I ride so that one day we won't have to. If you would like to donate and help make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past, it would truly mean the world to me. I cannot wait to ride for each and every one of you. THANK YOU!!!
