To all of my past donors, THANK YOU and welcome to my new donors! In just three years of riding you have helped me raise over $17,000! We have done an amazing job and provided much needed services to our community. I want to thank YOU!
Due to work conflicts I was unable to participate in the 2019 LifeCycle and it was a huge disappointment to me. I am coming back for my fourth year as a rider in 2020, and chasing that ever elusive $10,000 club!!! So, dig deep this year, we have some lost ground to make up for last year and I know we can raise $10,000 this year!
I am riding again to honor those members of the LGBT community who perished in the early beginnings of the epidemic and to show my support for my friends and family who live with this and are affected by HIV/AIDS today. HIV is something that affects all human beings everywhere on the planet and I hope to see it eradicated in my lifetime, I know that dream can become a reality if we harness our resources and choose to work together towards a common goal and put our hard earned money to good use.
2018 was my third year on the ride and it was just as magical as the first two. I actually had the joy of recruiting a few new people to my team and getting to see them experience this journey for the first time was truly magical and made my experience that much more profound. I had a few friends I recruited to do the 2019 ride and I was sorely disappointed to have missed their first year on the ride and the magic that happens.
I want to thank all of the friends who have supported me that make it possible for me to continue to do this ride every year. This week means so much to me each year, as challenging as the ride is, I love the experience and what we accomplish in terms of the massive fundraising effort. We raised over 16 million dollars last year, that is amazing! As long as I am physically able and there is a need, I will continue the commitment I made 4 years ago to see HIV eradicated in my lifetime.
I have many friends who benefit from the services provided at the Los Angeles LGBT center and I hope to see more and more education available regarding the virus and what it means to live in a status neutral world where we can all share the common bond of humanity. Please help in any way you can. Every donation helps get me closer to my goal and helps someone receiving these life saving services have hope for another day.
Thank you for your support and encouragement, it means the world to me!
Thank you for joining me in this cause!
June 2nd - June 8th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year, I’ll be one of them!
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today?
