I'm Riding to End AIDS
From June 1-7, 2014, I'm bicycling in AIDS/LifeCycle. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS.
This year I’m riding in memory of Jeff Martinez who was a rider on this ride. Jeff passed in the past year at a far to young age.
Some people think that HIV is no longer a big deal but it still kills people and that only way people can survive is by taking very expensive medicines. This ride helps people who cannot afford these meds get what they need. It also supports prevention and education.
This will be my 17th time doing this ride. I ride to remember all the talented and wonderful people that have been lost to this disease. I also sremember the many friends that I have lost.
I also ride in gratitude because this disease almost killed me. I am one of the lucky ones and this is my way of giving back.
Help me support AIDS/LifeCycle by giving what you can. We'll keep riding until AIDS and HIV are a thing of the past.
I love you all
