Third Time's A Charm!
June 2nd - June 8th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This will be my third year participating, and I am so excited to embark yet again on this amazing journey with an even more amazing community!
Throughout the last two years, I have learned a lot about cycling, more about myself, and even more about the importance of the work done by the organizations that benefit from the money raised by this ride. The work that we do on this ride will save the lives of people that otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford the costly medication that they require to live. YOUR donations are making more than a difference for these people - they are actually saving lives.
Last year, this event raised $16.6 MILLION to help fund HIV services at the SFAF and the LA LGBT Center. Through these services, funds raised through AIDS/LifeCycle are helping to make San Francisco the first city in the US with ZERO new HIV infections, ZERO AIDS-related deaths, and ZERO HIV stigma.
All of this is why in 2019, I am raising my fundraising goal to $7500. I have seen my friends and family come together to surpass these goals before, and I am confident that we can do it again this year to make an even larger impact on this ride and in the lives of those that benefit from the services provided by the SF AIDS Foundation and the LA LGBT Center.
Please help me by doing everything in your power to bring attention to this cause by donating generously, and sharing this with everyone that you know. Together, we can make a real difference.
With love and gratitude and sore legs,
