Thank you for joining me in this cause!
June 3rd - June 9th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 551-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year, I’ll be one of them!
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me. While no longer in the public spotlight, HIV/AIDS is still an epitemic that affects millions of people, due largely to education, stigma, access to medical testing and support, and access to a mental health network. This ride raises funds to support organizations who provide those lifesaving tools to those affected or at risk of being affected by HIV/AIDS.
As a global and national citizen, I feel it's my duty to be proactive in helping my neighbors in the ways in which I'm able. I may not have the finances or political muscle to lobby my national politicians, but I have other muscles to flex: two legs and a heart. Please join me in raising money for this important charity, which immediately will put your donation to use. Who knew saving lives could be as easy as riding a bike?
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today? Any amount is greatly appreciated, and a donation of just 10 cents per mile adds up to $55.10. If that sounds out of reach but you still want to help, AIDS/LifeCycle can help set up a doable payment plan. Even $5 is $5 more for testing, supplies, and support.
Click the button, save a life. I'll do all the muscling up the mountains.
