Thank you for joining me in this cause!
Last year I raised an amazing $4,379.37 on my very first Aids LifeCycle. This was entirely due to the immense generosity of my friends and family. This year I want to set the bar even higher and shoot for $6,000.
For background, the Aids LifeCycle is a 545 mile bicycle journey from San Francisco to Los Angeles. The purpose of the ride is to raise money for two orgnaizations benefitting marginalized communities in SF & LA. Both organizations offer a broad range of support to people who have or are at-risk of contracting HIV/AIDS. This support includes medical assitance, substance abuse counseling, and other preventitive services. One of their key constituencies is the LGBT homeless population. Shockingly, LGBT persons aged 13-25 in particular are 120 percent more likely to become homeless than their peers. (Chaplin Hall, University of Chicago (November 2017)).
So, please consider supporting the ride & the SF Aids Foundation today!
