Dear Friends and Family,
I AM EXCITED to say on June 3rd - June 9th, I will join over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies, Virtual Cyclists and #TeamPwC by participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Not only will this ride push my boundaries of physical strength and perseverance, but more importantly this ride is bringing me to actively support and call awareness to a very important cause.
545 MILES are to help eradicate HIV/AIDS. All the funds raised go to the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
MY MISSION is to ride every mile with the intention of reducing the stigma of HIV/AIDS and helping those that suffer from this disease. In the past I have participated on the USC Triathlon Team, finished numerous half marathons, and even trekked the Camino De Santiago, but all of this pales in comparison to the 545 miles I have ahead.
THE CAUSE HIV/AIDS is a global problem with around 36.7 million people worldwide living with HIV/AIDS. It is through the work of organizations such as the San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center that the rate at which others are getting newly infected is declining. With persistence, support, and education, I truly believe HIV/AIDS can be eradicated. Now the 17th year of AIDS/LifeCycle, this event has raised over $100 million for HIV/AIDS services.
PLEASE HELP me in my journey and support for a worthy cause. All donations help to save lives, raise awareness, and prevent future cases of HIV/AIDS. Donations can be mailed or made through my website: http://www.tofighthiv.org/goto/Erika-S-Hilton. If you are not comfortable with either option or would like to hear more about the race, please feel free to reach out and contact me!
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today?
