Thank you for joining me in this cause!
Hello everybody. My name is Christopher Cruz and this will be my 1st year as a Cyclist and advocate in the fight against AIDS. I am a live-in Caregiver to the elderly and a Father of 2 beautiful little girls.
Why do I ride?
I ride for my family members whom I never got to meet because of this disease. I ride to support my friends and loved ones who are living with HIV today.
I want to do something meaningful with my life and be a part of something that is bigger than me that will hopefully inspire others to do the same. I wish to gain more knowledge about HIV and AIDS and bestow that knowledge unto the young, the elderly and future generations to come.
I will be the voice for those who can no longer speak.
A voice beside thousands of others who share the same sense of urgency towards finding a cure.
My hope, my dream, is to have my children grow up in a stigma-free world, living by the conviction that it is not what you believe in that defines who you are, but rather your behavior.
We have struggled as a community in the past, but must move forward as a whole in this Global challenge to make a difference in the fight against AIDS.
I ride because I can make a difference.
June 2nd - June 8th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. This year, I’ll be one of them!
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today?
