Thank you for joining me in this cause!
I remember first learning about AIDS in 7th grade. A classmate did a presentation in science class on an incurable disease, that crippled the immune system and killed everyone who caught it. I lost a good friend in the early 90's to the disease, and have watched as a number of my friends battled with medications that were as devastating as the illness, as well as those who suffered the emotional toll of losing their loved ones. In 1994 my family felt this full impact when my Aunt Kristine lost her battle to the disease. Today, globally AIDS is the #1 cause of death in women age 15 to 49. With my friends and my Aunt in mind, this coming June I will get on my bike and ride on behalf of everyone who has been impacted by this disease physically, emotionally, and socially. Please consider making a donation.
June 2nd - June 8th, over 3,000 Cyclists, Roadies and Virtual Cyclists will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center.
The services provided as a result of this event mean the world to those who receive them, and your support means the world to me.
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today?
