Hello, for those of you that may not know who I am here is a quick bio. I am 52, originally from the UK, live in California and am in tech. Married to my lovely wife Kim and we have two wonderful children Abby 15 and Aidan 12. I am not physically fit, 25lbs overweight and am a Sunday cyclist which I love doing about 20-30 miles and I go to the gym twice a week. Well from June 2nd to June 8th I will be participating in AIDS/LifeCycle, a 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to raise funds for the life-saving services offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center. After watching the film Bohemian Rhapsody and as a huge Freddie/Queen fan I did some research and saw that the stigma of AIDS is still there after all this time which I found very sad and I wish to do my part to change this. That's my motivation now how possibly can I go from a Sunday rider to approximately 80 miles a day for 7 days in the next 5 months? Well I can with your help, together we can do this. I will train twice a week with a group of wonderful people taking the same challenge. My goal is $10,000 which would enable both organisations to help so many people in need. What I ask you to do in return is please sponsor me so we can together do our part. Any amount will help, you can also do a monthly pledge. Please sponsor me to provide the motivation I need for this huge challenge of 545 miles where I know I will be in pain as I push with each mile but unlike the people we are trying to help my pain will go away. Thank you.
