Team Mary rides AGAIN…one last time together!
It's easy to think that HIV/AIDS is no longer a problem. Medications have come a long way, and people are living much longer, healthier lives. This is why the work of San Francisco AIDS Foundation and the Los Angeles LGBT Center is so vital. They continue to provide the critical services and education needed to meet the growing needs of communities everywhere. This Ride is to raise awareness and knowledge about HIV/AIDS among participants, donors (you), and the general public.
Team Mary is ready to represent in AIDS/LifeCycle 2017 for the 18th and final year as a Team. Our farewell Team consists 85 riders and roadies – made up of Marys and Virgin Marys. What is a “Virgin Mary”? A “Virgin Mary” is a first year rider or roadie that has been recruited by our veteran riders (Mother Mary). They are dubbed their official “Mary” name before the ride as their “rite of passage” to a safe and amazing journey.
Last year our team raised over $370,000. This year with you help we are committed to raising $500,000! However, we can’t do it without you…
…So, please support a Mary! Below you can click any of the riders or roadies and donate to them directly. If you are interested in donating to the entire team, you can do so by sending in a check, we can then disburse your donation amongst the entire team equally. If you are interested in doing so, please email one of our Team Captains and they’ll give you further instruction: Evan Caldwell “Mary Ella Pecia” (egcaldw102@gmail. com) or Adam Q. Robinson “Mary Ellen” (aqrobinson@ gmail.com)
A very big "MARY" thank you for the support! What YOU are doing today with your donation saves lives and brings us one step closer to ending AIDS. This might be our last year as Team Mary, but the Marys will continue to ride until HIV/AIDS is a thing of the past.
