Be a part of the cause, be an Ambassador
As a way for community members to take an extra step to get involved with the mission of San Francisco AIDS Foundation, we created the Dining Out For Life Ambassadors Program.
What do Ambassadors do?
As a way for community members to take an extra step to get involved with the mission of San Francisco AIDS Foundation, we created the Dining Out for Life Ambassadors Program.
Dining Out For Life Ambassadors join the San Francisco AIDS Foundation team, volunteering to host participating restaurants, invite friends and family to dine out, and welcome guests. Ambassadors raise awareness about the life-saving impact of San Francisco AIDS Foundation programs and services. They will also get all the tools they need to fundraise online before the event.
As a Dining Out For Life Ambassador, you become a host of one of our participating restaurants. Host on your own, or register with a friend and create a greater impact.
Ambassadors receive special training and are asked to:
- Attend the Ambassador Kickoff Training on April 11 from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
- Invite friends and family to dine at your participating restaurant. This is a great opportunity for you and your guests to celebrate an anniversary, birthday, or any other occasion.
- Welcome diners to the restaurant on the day of the event and let them know that a portion of their bill will be donated to HIV prevention and care services in San Francisco.
- Promote the Dining Out For Life Sweepstakes. The Dining Out For Life Sweepstakes offers the community an additional chance to support San Francisco AIDS Foundation and enter to win some incredible prize packages.
Ambassadors also receive personal online fundraising accounts to encourage friends and family to purchase sweepstakes tickets or make a Dining Out For Life donation.
Fundraising for vital HIV prevention and care services is easy, rewarding, and fun. Ambassadors earn awards for raising $250, $750 and $1500, and compete for the title of Top Fundraiser.
All funds raised for Dining Out For Life support the life-saving programs offered by San Francisco AIDS Foundation.
Why I am an Ambassador
"When you're an Ambassador, basically you're asking your friends to come and eat with you. You get to host a fun night out in San Francisco. I always ask my friends to dine with me, and ask that they invite their friends, too. It turns into a chance to meet a lot of new people, all for a good cause." Read more about Sergio »
