Dear Friends & Family,

On June 6-12, 2010 I will be participating in the AIDS/LIFECYCLE 9, where I will ride my bike from San Francisco to Los Angeles for a total of 545 miles. YES 545 MILES! I have made a commitment to raise money for people living with HIV/AIDS and to help the beneficiaries continue to provide the critical services and education needed to support those living with AIDS.

As some of you already know, I have done Marathons and Triathlons in the past,  but this is a 7-day back to back bike ride. I injured my ankle in Aug 2009 and was on crutches for 9 weeks.  OUCH!!!  That set me back quite a bit.  I started training in Jan 2010 and last Saturday, I did 45 mile bike ride.  Thinking ahead, riding 545 miles seems challenging, but I look forward to the emotional rewards. Training with previous riders of the AIDS/LIFECYCLE, I am motivated and determined to finish the ride and support the cause.

At this time, I would like for you to join me in my personal commitment to making a difference. I am required to raise a minimum of $3000 by May 1, 2010, but I want to raise more and break the $5000 mark.  I invite you to support me and donate what you can. The money you donate goes DIRECTLY to local organizations dedicated to helping those living with HIV/AIDS.  

I myself am contributing $100 initially and additional $100 for every escrow I close between now and June.  So please donate whatever you can afford.  I know the economy has affected many people, but every dollar you can contribute HELPS :)

I'm so tempted to include this part, but did you know it's my birthday this weekend, February 20th? :D  Your donation would be a perfect gift!!!! ;)
