I'm Riding to End AIDS
From June 3-9, 2012, I'm bicycling in AIDS/LifeCycle. It's a 7-day, 545-mile bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles to make a world of difference in the lives of people living with HIV and AIDS. This is my donation page!
As many of you know, HIV/AIDS continues to disproportionately affect nationally and globally marginalized communities including people in developing countries, people of color, gay and bisexual men, and transgender people. For this reason, I am riding with AIDS/LifeCycle to raise awareness of these issues, and also to raise funding for prevention and treatment efforts in San Francisco.
Help me support AIDS/LifeCycle by giving what you can. My goal is to raise $5k this year. We'll keep riding until AIDS and HIV are a thing of the past.
P.S.: Last year I trained for the ride with my friend Kristen, but unfortunately, very close to ride day, she was in an accident that prevented her from doing the ride. I did the ride by myself, though I made a number of friends along the way. This year, Kristen is recovered and will ride!! I will also be riding with a team of other local cyclists - stay tuned for team (and dare I say it THEME) parties between now and June!
