Well, seventh, actually. After four years as AIDS/LifeCycle staff, I'm headed into my third time riding 545 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles on a bike.
Why would I do something like that?
I'm part of a generation that didn't go through losing all of my friends to HIV - but only just. Because of the work of places like the Los Angeles LGBT Center and San Francisco AIDS Foundation, my friends who have this disease will likely live full, beautiful lives. Without the ongoing dedication of these organizations, the progres that we've made could slip away.
So stand with me. Now, more than ever, we need to stand for what's right. We need to stand for those who need us. We need to stand for each other.
And, because there aren't enough women in the Top 50 fundraisers, I've got my eye on that target, as well.
That means my goal is to personally raise $25,000. Yep, $25,000. It will take all of us working together to make that happen. Will you jon me? Dig deep. Your donation will change lives, and bring hope and services to those living with HIV.
Let's do this!
