IT. WAS. AMAZING.
I spent the 2017 Ride on two-wheels, and it changed me. I can't tell you how, I can just say that it challenged and shifted every ounce of me closer to the center of who I really am. I know that sounds hokey, but it's true. I spent profound time alone, and unexpected time connected. Every bit of it was magical, whether it was waiting in lines, running through sprinklers, or sitting in tanks.
So I'm doing it again!
And, because there aren't enough women in the Top 50 fundraisers, I've got my eye on that target, as well.
I'm part of a generation that didn't go through losing all of my friends to HIV - but only just. My friends who have this disease will likely live full, beautiful lives. And that's because of the work of places like the Los Angeles LGBT Center and San Francisco AIDS Foundation. Without the ongoing dedication of these organizations, the progres that we've made could slip away.
So stand with me. Now, more than ever, we need to stand for what's right. We need to stand for those who need us. We need to stand for each other.
My goal is to personally raise $25,000. Yep, $25,000. Will you jon me? Dig deep. Your donation will change lives, and bring hope and services to those living with HIV.
