If you know me, you might know that one of my favourite things to do is ride my bike long distances for many days in a row. After spending most of the last year thinking I wouldn't do AIDS/LifeCycle again in 2019, I realized I could not stay away from this incredible community and opportunity! Not only that, I managed to convince my incredible friend and classmate, Erin, to join me. Major upgrade!
If you followed along last year, you may already know that AIDS/LifeCycle is a 7-day, 545 mile ride (er, I mean, 877km) co-produced by the Los Angeles LGBT Center and San Francisco AIDS Foundation and is designed to advance their shared interest to reduce new HIV infections and improve the quality of life for people living with HIV/AIDS. In addition to these shared goals, these organizations provide harm reduction, primary prevention, health care and social services for trans*, gender diverse, LGBTQ folks, services for mental health and substance use, and many more things that are close to my heart.
If you made a donation to my ride last year, thank you so much for your contribution. Please do not feel obliged to donate again. Consider coming to an event that Erin and I are hosting at the Backstage Lounge on Granville Island, May 18th!
We’re working together to make HIV/AIDS a thing of the past. Will you support me by making a donation today?
